Kate DeAngelis joins Barberton Community Foundation
(July 1, 2019, Barberton, Ohio) – Barberton Community Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Kate DeAngelis as the new Director of Marketing. Kate will be responsible for coordinating marketing initiatives, maintaining key community relationships, and communicating the overall mission of the foundation.
“We are excited to welcome Kate to the Barberton Community Foundation,” said Executive Director Suzanne Allen. “Her background with the Barberton community and her passion for community service makes her an excellent addition to our team.”
Kate has six years of nonprofit marketing and communications experience, previously working as the Director of Marketing and Community Relations at Neighborhood Development Services. In her time there, she contributed to many Barberton related projects, including Barberton Better Block, Kave Coffee Bar, the Barberton Walk of Fame, and the Barberton Arts and Entertainment District. From 2012-2016 she worked as the Public Relations and Marketing Associate at the Barberton Public Library. While working at the library, Kate became a Friend of the Foundation, and found her passion working closely with the Barberton community.
Kate is a native of Norton, Ohio, and currently lives in Akron. She graduated from Ellet High School, and attended Ohio Northern University, receiving a BA in Professional Writing. She is excited to be working in Barberton again and shared that it feels like coming home.
