Pass-through Funds

Pass-through Funds

Rather than a permanent endowment fund where assets are pooled and invested, pass-through funds act more like a charitable checking account. These funds are most convenient/beneficial for short-term project. You or many individuals can make lump sum contributions to your pass-through fund and do not need to reach any specific level of funding to make an immediate impact. All of the money in the fund may be drawn down by the beneficiary in accordance with the terms of the fund.
