As one of over 700 community foundations in the country, Barberton Community Foundation provides our community with a permanent resource designed to help meet the ever-changing needs of Barberton, both now and in the future.

The Foundation’s staff has an in-depth understanding of not only ways to give, but of the opportunities and challenges that shape our community. Our goal is to help donors learn more about local nonprofits, and help them make a difference for causes they care about. Together with our donors, we have awarded more than $109 million in grants and scholarships to the community.

We offer a variety of giving tools to help individuals and organizations achieve their philanthropic goals. We’ll work with you to match your giving and passions, and create a plan that works for you. We make giving easy and effective, and accept a variety of gifts. Donors can contribute, cash, stocks property, and bequests, with the maximum tax benefits.

When Rachel and Joe Stefan established the Stefan-Lightner Endowment Fund, they shared that they hoped to model philanthropic giving for their sons. Joe said,
