Humane Society's Mobile Vet Clinic

Established in 2006 by a local good Samaritan, the Heart of Gold Humane Fund assists low-income Barberton residents to spay or neuter their dogs and cats and assists with the cost of rabies vaccines. The fund currently partners with the Humane Society of Summit County’s MABEL Mobile Veterinary Clinic. With this fund, we honor the legacy of hometown US Olympian and three-time gold medal winner, Glenn “Jeep” Davis.  The fund provides Barberton school-age athletes with direct training, transportation, equipment and/or competition expenses during the period in their athletic career when other sponsorship is not available, or the fund can also assist Barberton athletic teams enhance their quality of play or the organization.

This fund is supported by the Jeep Davis 5k, which holds an annual 5K race in downtown Barberton.

To assist in reducing the costs for Barberton residents participating in Lake Anna YMCA programs, or to provide direct funding support for Lake Anna YMCA programs. May also assist with costs for Barberton residents participating in other Akron Area YMCA programs.

Established in 2001 by Dr. Robert Littlejohn, this fund benefits the Barberton Red Cross. The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. ​
