GRANT DEADLINES AND FOCUS AREAS
Beginning in 2021, Barberton Community Foundation will accept grants three times per year with specific focus areas.
February 1 – Education and Workforce & Economic Development
June 1 – Arts and Community
October 1 – Health and Wellness
Letters of Inquiry will continue to be required prior to submitting a grant and they can be submitted at any time. Small grants of $1,000 or less will continue to be accepted for review at any time.
Letter of Inquiry
If your nonprofit is considering submitting a grant to Barberton Community Foundation or Tuscora Park Health and Wellness Foundation, we ask that you first submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) outlining your project.
Your brief narrative should include:
- a concise description of the program or project, including why it is needed
- amount requested and how the funds will be used
- who you will serve and how many
- timeframe (begin and end dates)
If you choose not to submit your LOI as a formal letter, be sure to date your document and include the contact person’s name, phone number, and email.
